what is this sorcery?
ok, yeah. it’s a little bit woo-woo.
an aura portrait is a visual snapshot of your energy Right Now, captured using biofeedback technology & translated into color.
think of it as a mirror - not of how you look, but of how you feel.
what happens in a session?
01 — you sit for your portrait
+ i put cool little biofeedback readers on your fingers 02 — your colors come to life.
those neat little energy readers communicate with the camera + we get a video of your colors dancing around you.03 — we talk about what we see.
you & I have a little yap about what those colors represent + explore what they could be saying in this moment.04 — you take your portrait home.
we take a still from the video + print it onto a polaroid for you to take home to oooh + ahhh at in your own time.05 — integration, whatever that may be.
maybe you go deeper on the parts that resonated. maybe you just enjoy looking at the colors. whichever works. do you, boo.

where it shows up, its opacity + expression - each adds another piece to the picture.
think of the colors as a language.
→ red teaches us to be in our body.
→ blue indicates we have something valuable to share.
→ orange encourages us to flirt with life.
→ green wants to nourish us + those around us.
every portrait speaks its own dialect.

I liked the idea of naming my IRL experience after something you can't quite hold.
because that's what this work is about.
